About Dually Noted

Curated Music & Fine Dining

Founder and Artistic Director Rebecca Matayoshi curates programs by partnering with professional chefs and musicians. Audiences are immersed in the thoughtfulness and passion that go into creative expression. The dual nature of each event is a unique sensory and social experience.

This platform allows artists to program pieces of their choice and create dishes of their own inspiration. Generously donated host homes provide an intimate setting, creating an engaging atmosphere that encourages dialogue with the audience.

Dually Noted’s name stems from the phrase “duly noted,” meaning “appropriately acknowledged.” The dual components of the series are intrinsically linked – sometimes courses are inspired by the music, and other times, pieces are selected based on a preconceived dish. Presented side-by-side, they are of equal importance, and thus, appropriately and respectfully acknowledged.

“A Joy to Perform”

“A dinner in a beautiful setting where the music complimented the palate of an enthusiastic and interactive audience, it was a joy to perform. My friend Sayuri, bassist extraordinaire and I carefully chose a combination of different worldly genres from purely classical to jazzy and Latin flavors so it could be paired with a variety of foods. And so the food turned out eclectic and sublime. Congratulations to Rebecca for making this event a such enjoyable experience for everyone!”
